Kwang Leaves Today :(
It’s been a few days since I last wrote in my blog b/c it has been a rather LARGE pain in the butt to get the internet hooked up here at my new abode! But alas, today it is up and running properly under the correct usage plan. Ah, the little things in life really make a difference! I am quite sad though b/c Kwang leaves this evening ;( He will leave Mysore about ten tonight and make his way to Bangalore. It honestly hasn’t hit me yet that he is going home and I will be here without him for three whole months. I know everything will be fine, but it will most definitely be a bit hard for a while b/c we have been together all day everyday for the last 4 ½ months straight! He will be missed terribly but I know he’s eager to get back to the states and I am not…So it works out well. Plus, we’ve just had the most amazing couple months together and this absence will make our hearts grow fonder.
The last few days have been really good, but a little sad as we’ve known there was only a little time left before we will be apart. We’ve not done anything totally crazy but we did go to the Mysore Palace on Wednesday. This trip we actually got to see the inside of the Palaces, which were absolutely AMAZING. The slightly newer (built in 16th century) Palace is gigantic in size with more rooms than I could possibly count, and the detail of the work on every inch of that Palace is gorgeous! I quite enjoyed this trip to the Palace – but if you come to Mysore you too have to make two trips – one on a Sunday evening when the light the entire Palace grounds from 6-8pm (I believe), and one during the day so you can tour the insides of the palaces.
Thursday and Friday were really relaxed…I practiced in the mornings, which has been totally amazing by the way, and the rest of our days were spent hanging out together and doing a few small errands like hitting the grocery store each day for some fresh fruits, etc. Today we will hang out at the house till about 12:30pm when we head to the city to have lunch with some Indian friends of ours. I think it is such a nice gesture to invite us to lunch as Kwang is leaving!

Glad you’re back online, but sad to hear that Kwang is headed home. I look forward to reading more from you in Mysore in the next few months.
