Happy Birthday Daddy!

Happy Birthday Daddy!  If my father were alive, he would be 55 years old today!  He passed away in February of 1990, but his spirit is still with me each and every day.  I miss him terribly but always try to remind myself he is still right next to me every second of everyday!  The greatest lesson he taught me in life was – always follow my dreams.  So I can happily say that I am in India right now b/c of the knowledge my father instilled in me!

Opps – I overslept this morning and didn’t make it to practice!  I felt terrible about it when I woke up, but then stopped beating myself up about it b/c shit happens.  I actually got back into bed and slept another two hours before finally dragging myself from the bed around 9am!!!  I don’t know why I was so tired – but I definitely needed the sleep that’s for sure.

I just got back from Rolfing, my 9th session!  I can say it was pretty painful today, seems they get progressively more intense – however it might just be me.  Ken did more of the back body today – the 8th session kinda ties the whole upper body together, and the 9th kinda ties the whole of the lower/back body together.  I know the 10th session, which I have on Sunday, will tie the whole body together.  The most painful part of today was the work he did on my tailbone.  I actually don’t even think that most people even have work done on the tailbone during Rolfing sessions, but it is an important part of my sessions b/c my tailbone is so messed up.  At any rate, I was very happy when it was over!

I can’t stress enough how grateful I feel for the ability to make this trip to Mysore!  It was very hard for me to do and it took a great deal of time to save the money and figure out how to put my life back home on hold – but I highly recommend it to everyone.  It has taught me so much about myself and what I want out of life.
