Finally – Resolution
Ok, I am truly feed up!!! It’s about 12pm right now and we are still dealing with Air India – been on the phone with them and Cheap Tickets since about 10am this morning. Seems like there is going to be resolution today though – THANK GOODNESS….
Got up today and did led practice at the shala b/c tomorrow is a moon day so no practice. Gotta say that today was uber challenging practice but was really glad to have done it once I finished. Just seem really tired today- had a lot to deal with yesterday and didn’t seem to get a full night’s rest. Oh well. Kwang and I didn’t walk today b/c we are going to go to Chamundi Hill tonight with Linda and Claudia. It is supposed to be really beautiful and there are 1,000 steps to the top of the Hill
So we decided instead to go ahead and get a little work out of the way before contacting Cheap Tickets and Air India.
Then we went to Anu’s cafe and started making our phone calls. Air India and Cheap Tickets were on three way with us for a little while arguing back and forth – both parties saying the other was responsible for fixing this problem for us. But it is really Air India b/c Cheap Tickets has no way to change paper tickets and there are a lot of issues that come into play with international flights. Finally, we were given another number to contact (a local air india booking number). We just got off the phone with them – they have booked our flight to Bangkok, Thailand – they say we can use the credit we have from our cancelled flight, minus $125.00 cancellation fee per ticket! I am very happy about all this – but still quite skeptical! We have to drive back to Bangalore before July 3rd to hand them the paper tickets for our canceled flight and get our new tickets to Bangkok. So, we will find out for sure if this is going to work (ie get to use the credits we have from the previous flight) when we drive all the way back to Bangalore! OMG, what drama…..

So we didn’t end up getting to go to Chamundi this evening b/c it started raining pretty hard. So once Kwang and I finished Sanskrit class we came home and ordered Pizza…So darn tasty but man I could feel all that butter just sitting in my tummy when after I polished off a slice of Hawaiian Chicken and a slice of veggie. Oh well, the price you pay for a really tasty meal sometimes… This is Linda’s last real night with us here in India. Her plane leaves tomorrow evening (she leaves Mysore around 8:30pm). I am really sad to see her go but I know she is ready to get home.
